MYB Couture weave some of the most delicate of lace and sheer fabrics. Cotton lace and madras provide an incredibly stable base cloth upon which some of the most detailed patterning is woven.
Lace is the look of the moment, and we are now the only company in the world designing and weaving Nottingham Lace. The set up of our looms provides us with great flexibility, creating a number of different weights and definition possibilities. We can create anything from a heavy Macrame style to a fabric of the utmost elegance for the most stunning of Ball-gowns.
Our Madras is a cotton leno weave. The pattern of the fabric is created
by sheering off the loose weft yarn, after the fabric has been woven.
Coloured wool, cottons, chenilles, linens and cashmere are the pattern
yarns we specialise in but as well as these natural fibres, man made fibres
are also available.
MYB Couture is a recent development for the group. We have been drawn
into this market through our ability to produce stunningly unusual and
original fabrics. Our in-house design team facilitate the most bizarre
of requests and provide the creative flair to get the very best out of
our cloth.
All of our fabric is woven here at our mill in Newmilns, Scotland, and we pride ourselves in the strong working relationships we have with our clients. The future growth and development of our company is woven together with those of our clients, be it the small boutique designer or the highly visual fashion house.
