Nottingham Lace
Cotton Lace, still woven on 100 year old Nottingham Looms has once again become the sheer curtain fabric of the moment. Manufactured on 12m wide looms, our Lace is produced using a unique weave and twist technique resulting in the most delicate of fabrics. The complex knitting action enables a multitude of weave structures to create both depth and texture.

Although specialising in the supply of lace for period homes including (Victorian, Edwardian and Art Nouveau) we are also dedicated to the development of lace as a contemporary addition to the modern room-set. Our skilled design team is focused on creating lace to be woven well into the 21st Century, be it working on small, bespoke projects with interior designers or creating fabric for our global wholesale partners every new design is an exciting work of art.
Madras
One of the most luxurious sheer qualities ever woven.
The Madras quality (a leno muslin weave) is one of a kind. The design is woven into the ground by a jaquard mechanism, leaving some of the weft yarn floating between the pattern. This weft yarn is then removed by passing the cloth through a clipping machine, leaving the pattern outline on the fine muslin ground.
For 150 years Madras was woven in pure cotton and predominantly available only in Natural shades. To cater for today’s discerning tastes the looms have been specialised to allow our design team the flexibility to create Madras in any variety of colour and yarn combinations. Coloured ground yarns are now available with Wool, Linen, Chenille, Cashmere, Viscose or Lurex in the pattern.
