News - MYB get skirty with Polo Ralph Lauren
MYB Couture, the apparel division of MYB Textiles has woven it’s way firmly into the fashion world. Having worked successfully with a number of National Design Boutiques over the last 4 years our Couture Division is now utilising it's manufacturing flexibility to create fashion fabrics for the international catwalk.
The most notable of our International Developments has been the launch of a skirt design with the Blue Label Bottoms Brand of Polo Ralph Lauren. Woven at our mill here in Scotland the Nina Vintage cotton skirt is woven in 2 ‘pizza pie’ sections that are joined to form this stunning Safari style skirt. Margo Graham, Divisional Director - ‘We are known for our open weave fabrics and it is always nice to provide something that little bit different. Many of our clients probably do not know that 100 year old Nottingham Lace looms can weave solid cloth’ or in this case a beautiful solid and open weave combination’.
The girls at Ralph Lauren are a pleasure to work with and the couture design team is confident that this will be the first of many such projects.
